Day one of Acropolis Rally is now finished after the first two stages accomplished. But the rally didn’t take off as hoped for Pontus. On the first stage he caught a puncture, tried to continue driving, but eventually had to stop and change the tyre. That cost nearly three minutes. On the second and last stage of the day, he set a third quickest time and with that he ends up on third place overnight in the overall standings.
“It’s a bummer to start the rally like this but things like this happen. We know that Acropolis Rally is a difficult rally, but that also means that anything can happen over the next two days. Besides the puncture, things has gone well in the car. We’ll focus on driving clever tomorrow and on Sunday”, says Pontus.
