New chances ahead for Pontus Tidemand

After seven years together, Pontus Tidemand and EVEN Management have decided to part ways. The partnership has been successful with several titles and focused teamwork, but now the time has come for Pontus to explore new opportunities on his journey towards his goal of getting a WRC seat.

“I’ve been an EVEN Management athlete since 2012 and through hard work and passion for the sport we’ve reached many goals and milestones, like taking the junior world rally champion title in 2013, becoming Asia-Pacific rally champions in 2015 and scoring the WRC 2 champion title in 2017. It’s been a fantastic ride, but now the time has come for me to explore new exciting opportunities for the future, without EVEN Management. To one day become world rally champion is my ultimate target and I can’t miss out on any chance that can bring me closer to that goal” said Pontus.

While Pontus moves on, his co-driver for the past three years, Jonas Andersson, stays with EVEN Management.

“I’d like to thank #TeamEVEN for everything you’ve done for me over the past years and also a huge thanks to Jonas, one of the best co-drivers in the world, that I’ve been lucky enough to have next to me since 2016. I’m really looking forward to the 2019 season and can’t wait to share my plans with you all as soon as possible, said Pontus.”

Erik Veiby, who has been Pontus’ manager since day one with the management, is also very pleased with their partnership, but agrees with Pontus that it is time for him to explore new opportunities.

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to work with such a hardworking, professional driver for so many years! However, we feel we have accomplished what we can do together, and it is time for Pontus to go his own ways. We wish him all the best for his next chapter, and we are confident we will see him on the top step of a podium in the near future” said Veiby.
